HAPPY ALL HALLOWS !

St. Mary’s attempt to reclaim the holiday featured bones, the prophet Ezekiel, candy for the children, coffee and donuts for their weary parents as they walked past the church from 6-8 pm on All Hallows Eve. It was great fun and a chance to meet and greet neighbors!

BACK TO SCHOOL – August 17, 2025
After blessing our school children – and gifting them with a basket of supplies to help them in the new school year – parishioners from St. Mary’s moved up the hill to Centennial Park to participate with a food tent in the annual “Back to School Bash” for Waynesville Schools on Sunday afternoon, August 17th. Thanks to all who donated, volunteered, cooked and passed out grilled Hot Dogs and snacks for village students and their parents. And special thanks to the Diocese of Southern Ohio for the fabulous tent that kept us all shaded on a hot afternoon.

Annual Blessing of Animals
This year the blessing of animals was held on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 10:30 AM.
Pictured below are a few of our furry friends!
Most high, almighty Lord, our Creator, yours are the praise, the glory, the honor and all blessings! To you alone do all things belong. Be praised for giving us the animals, birds and fish which fill your world.May we think of you and thank you when we play with and care for our pets. Be praised for making us so happy to have our pets and to have them to play with. We ask you, Lord, that we may be good to our pets always, so that they may be happy also. Help us always to take care of them so that they will be healthy. O God, your world is wonderful. May we all come into your even greater world of the kingdom of heaven where we shall see even more wonderful things and where we shall live and love for ever. This we ask to your eternal praise, and to our blessing. Amen

CHRISTMAS EVE 2024
Our traditional candlelight Christmas Eve celebration in 2024 was prefaced by the Westchester String Trio in a beautiful and prayerful medley of Christmas favorites, followed by a candlelight Mass, and festive fellowship in the church hall!

Another annual tradition is a Sharing Tree, at left above, where gifts are left for children attending Waynesville Elementary that need assistance.
OUR NEW SANCTUARY ICON

This 21st century icon of the Mother of God is taken from a 12th century Byzantine original known in Greek as the Virgin “Eleusa”, the Virgin of Tenderness .

CHRIST IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN INDEED! EASTER 2025
It was a beautiful Easter morning, made even more special through the baptisms of two adults, a teenager and two children in a festive service that featured the lighting of the new fire, ancient chants, bells, traditional hymns with organ and singing with guitar accompaniment !
