About St. Mary’s
” Let light shine out of darkness” (2 Corinthians 4:6)

OUR FAITH
Jesus said: “According to your faith let it be done to you.” ( Matthew 9:29)
We understand God and our world through:
The Bible — We believe that God and God’s people speak to us through the Bible.
Tradition — We are a church with a long history and many stories. Some of these stories connect us to Jesus and the things he taught us. Some of the stories help us understand what other people have thought about God, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Most of these traditions we express through worship using The Book of Common Prayer.
Thinking — We believe that a spiritual life with God in Christ through the Holy Spirit requires us to use not only our hearts but our minds as well. To learn God’s Will we must listen to the Bible, to tradition and our own experience.
WAYNESVILLE FOOD PANTRY

Jesus said: “I am among you as one who serves…” (Luke 22:27)
Saint Mary’s is home to the Waynesville Food Pantry and Community Aid Program which assists hundreds of families every year with food.
Throughout the year special drives are conducted throughout the community to gather needed goods which are then brought to the church for distribution.
Donations to the food pantry are accepted on Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 3 to 4:30 pm. We do not accept clothing or furniture.
If you would like to contribute to the ministry please contact the the food pantry when it is open or contact the parish office at (513) 897-2435.

OUR WORSHIP
St. Paul said; “Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation,
be constant in prayer ” ( Romans 12:12)
Christians are to follow Christ; to come together week by week for corporate worship; and to work, pray, and to give of their time and talents for spreading the Good News of the Kingdom of God.
We gather to celebrate the Eucharist (Mass) every Sunday, beginning at 10:30 AM. All baptized Christians are welcome to share the sacrament with us.
This is followed by a time of fellowship with coffee and often treats, gluten and gluten-free! Once again, everyone is welcome.

EVENTS
Rejoice then, you heavens and those who dwell in them!” (Revelation 12:12)
From the annual blessing of the animals in October, to candlelit Christmas Eve services, from the Stations of the Cross during Lent to our Easter Brunch; from local historical lectures to community pancake suppers, St. Mary’s has been an integral part of the village of Waynesville for the past 150+ years.

OUR PRIESTS & LAY LEADERS
St. Timothy said: “Now a minister must be above reproach,… temperate, sensible, respectable, hospitable, an apt teacher.. .”
( I Timothy 3:1-2)
At St.Mary’s we are blessed to have three retired priests serving our parish on a rotating schedule, bringing differing insights and wisdom every week. On the first and third Sundays of the month the Rev. Mother Pam Gaylor officiates. She is pictured above at a recent event with the former Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, the Most Rev. Michael Curry. On the second and fourth Sundays the Rev. Father Greg Hinton (pictured below) serves; The Rev. Father Steve Cuff is currently serving in Piqua but will return to St. Mary’s this Fall.

Our Vestry (Parish Council) is composed of seven elected lay leaders chosen from among our parishioners.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!
